Smart car

A car that when parked leaves plenty of space for you to put in groceries or check the oil and gets at least 70 mpg… that’s smart!

On a recent trip to Canada, Ellen and I got to talk to the owner of one of these cute little cars and even sit in the driver’s and passenger’s seats. The nice lady even had a full load of groceries in the trunk.

Though it seats only two, the car generates enough conversation for four or more.

Unfortunately, though demand in growing in this oil-addicted nation for ways to kick its nasty habit, as far as well can tell from our side, the car is still too controversial to be allowed onto U.S streets, and may be in danger of going out of production.

See some of the ongoing debate.
