Music in Millennium Park

Squeeze what’s left out of this summer and feed your ears with the fabulous Grant Park Orchestra in Frank Gehry’s sculptural Pritzker Pavilion.
The state-of-the-art sound system will get a workout August 17 and 19 with American composer John Adams’ 9/11 tribute piece On the Transmigration of Souls, which features full orchestra, chorus, and 16-channel surround-sound.
The Grant Park Music Festival is the nation’s only remaining free, municipally-supported, outdoor, classical music series.
