A micro-thin photovoltaic interlayer is sandwiched between two pieces of glass, much like the safety plastic layer in your car windshield. This specialty glazing could be used in curtain-wall systems, clerestories, skylights and light monitors, and insulated glazed units. Panels should be sized for easy installation and replacement, and the electrical connections can be daisy-chained together.
