Chicago Public Radio’s Worldview featured a segment on Gary Lawrence, the Urban Strategies Leader for Arup, a global consulting and engineering firm designing the world’s first eco-city outside of Shanghai, China.

Host Jerome McDonnell also asks for a take on the 2008 Olympics structures and for a definition of sustainability, but most enlightening is a brief reflection near the end of the piece on what opportunities for sustainable design Mr. Lawrence finds most exciting in his experience of the state of affairs in current international environmental thinking.
