Photographer Chris Jordan makes the waste in our society all too apparent (and strangely beautiful) in Running the Numbers, his stunning series of images based on statistics of usage in the United States.
Pictured above is a composite of different zoom scales (last is actual size) of Jet Trails (2007 60”×96”), depicting 11,000 jet trails, equal to the number of commercial flights in the US every eight hours.
