Biogas train
What’s that smell? It’s a new mode of transportation.
Actually, the point is… it doesn’t smell, at least not like most other modes of transportation we’re used to riding.
A converted Fiat train named “Amanda”, whose diesel engines have been replaced by two Volvo engines running on biogas, will travel from between two Swedish towns 50 miles apart at least once a day.
Biogas is a type of biofuel rich in methane, and produced by decomposing organic material of different kinds (tree trimmings and yard waste, municipal waste, farm waste including slaughterhouse trimmings, etc.) mixed with water in a tank.
Now, if we can just capture methane gas at the source.
On second thought… scratch that.
