A window on the world
Echo Studio’s entry focused, basically, on rethinking planter boxes and windows.
From the Entry Description:
Windows are a) the prime building components which allow us to experience our environment; b) places a building occupant may most effectively and visibly personalize their environment; c) respond more inadequately to changing technology and are likely be replaced and/or reclaimed over the life of the building. Two proprietary systems - the *BioSaddlebag*TM and *LouveRedi*TM windows - will allow windows to fully address a connection to the exterior, personalization, and eventual obsolescence.
